We used the Mambo content manager to develop this website and intend to use it as basis for non e-commerce websites we develop for customers too.
In addition to being freely available under the GNU/GPL open source license, the base code is very stable and well thought through. A lot of free templates are available and it is fairly easy to do customized ones.
Components and modules are available for a variety of functions and are normally easy to install and activate. Some of them needs a bit of fixing and we intend to post the fixes we do in the Downloads section of our website.
Classifieds component by POSLuH
A company in Croatia has developed a classifieds component that we intend to use after some modifications. Their website is:
We have added capability to select if classifeds should be verified by Administrator before publishing or not and if confirmation email should be sent. Will also skip showing type selection box if no types are used for the category. Now available in the Downloads section!
